Indications: For the treatment of dry skin, e.g. for neurodermatitis or aged skin Contraindications: Do not use if there is a known sensitivity to this product, or for the treatment of inflammatory skin conditions and do not apply to large areas in patients with impaired renal function. Also do not use to treat children, as there is insufficient research into the use of this medication in this age group. Side effects: Skin irritation is possible when used to treat acute inflammatory skin conditions. Interactions: The release of active ingredients from other externally applied medications and their skin permeability may be increased in the presence of urea. This is known to occur with corticosteroids, dithranol and fluorouracil.

Eucerin® Omega Fatty Acid topical preparations for supportive therapeutic care of atopic dry skin, nappy-rash dermatitis and dermatoses associated with a disturbed barrier function, such as psoriasis, ichthyosis and neurodermatitis, especially at the end of an active phase and during the latent phase. They are also suitable for therapy-induced dry skin (chemotherapy, dialysis).

Eucerin® 12% Omega Fatty Acid Cream and Eucerin® 12% Omega Fatty Acid Lotion: Preventative skin protection, especially in occupations that deal with liquids.

Eucerin® 20% Omega Fatty Acid Ointment: In cold, dry weather it is also suitable as protection against the cold air (children and adults with neurodermatitis). In cases of infantile eczema (seborrheic dermatitis in infancy) use in the nappy-area with every nappy change.

Eucerin® Omega Fatty Acid Oil Bath: Indications: Supportive treatment of skin conditions (dermatoses) with dry, itchy skin, e.g. endogenous eczema (neurodermatitis), psoriasis, nappy rash, wash dermatitis. Contraindications: Not to be used in acute pustular psoriasis or if there is hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients. In the case of extensive skin injuries, acute skin diseases, severe febrile and infectious diseases, heart failure and hypertension, full baths (irrespective of the ingredients) should be taken only after consulting a physician. Side effects: Rarely, skin intolerance reactions. Interactions: Simultaneous use of soaps/syndets neutralises the effect of the oil bath. Warnings: Keep oil baths out of contact with the eyes. If accidental contact occurs, irrigate immediately with plenty of water. Increased risk of slipping because of the oilfilm on the skin and in the bathtub.
